  • Effective January 1, 2017
  • Existing ADU ordinances became null and void
  • Local governments must apply the new state standards (SB 1069, AB 2299 & AB 2406)
  • Or adopt an ordinance that is in compliance
  • Local governments may not adopt an ordinance that precludes ADU’s
  • Manufactured homes qualify as an ADU
