LoNox Furnace Update- Urgent Response
To: Manufacturers and Retailers

Subject: LoNox Mitigation Fee Extension Immediate Response Needed
The South Coast Air Quality Management District will meet on November 5,2025 to consider a proposed amendment to rule 1111 which if passed will extend the mitigation fee alternate compliance for manufactured home furnaces to September 30, 2028.
We need factual data to support the passage of the proposed Amendment.
For manufacturers and Retailers delivering/installing homes in the SCAQMD. Please complete the following and return to me by November 3,2025.
Manufacturers (for homes in or to be shipped to SCAQMD):
1.Number of now homes in Retailers inventory (includes homes in transit)_______________________________
2.Number of finished homes homes not shipped ____________________________________
3.Number of homes in process and in backlog______________________________
Retailers
1.Number of unsold homes in inventory which would most likely be installed in the SCAQMD___________
2.Number of homes in escrow which are to be installed in the SCAQMD ________________
3.Number of homes with permit issues or delays as a result LoNox Furnace issues_____________
All information gathered will be used in aggregate. Individual responses will not be shared.
Attached is a list of all cities in the SCAQMD. Assume that homes installed in unincorporated areas are in the SCAQMD.

Note: this Bulletin applies to homes installed in the SCAQMD only. Homes shipped to the San Joaquin in Air quality district will be covered in a separate memo. Hopefully, if Rule 1111 is favorably Amended by the SCAQMD the San Joaquin District will follow suit.
