MISSION STATEMENT
The CMHI Foundation is a charitable, non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization under the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation was formed to assist financially destitute and struggling families and individuals in acquiring both temporary shelter and permanent housing, to bolster their self-esteem and to provide assistance in meeting their ongoing financial needs in a charitable and benevolent manner as determined from time to time by the Foundation’s Board of Directors. The Foundation may also provide financial assistance to low income individuals by conferring scholarships to children and young persons who desire to attain a higher education and to achieve academic excellence but who appear to lack the financial or other support necessary to pay for their education.
VETERANS DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
In recognition of their services to our nation and pursuant to a unanimous vote by our Board of Directors, the CMHI Foundation established the Veterans Down Payment Assistance Program.
Since the inception of our program the Foundation has provided $28,750.00 in down payment assistance which was matched by participating retailers for total assistance of $57,500.00.
The current available fund balance for veterans assistance is $4,000.00
